Unfortunately, tennis is one of the few sports where it is common to see coaches not watch their players compete on a regular basis. Many of the mental situations which players typically face can’t be reproduced in practice. Such as a coach being able to talk to a player before the match when the nerves are high, and between sets when there is more of the battle left to be played, and after a match when the emotions are at their highest.
These significant and critical times are invaluable lessons for the players and the coaches! These moments are what build trust between player and coach. Players can learn from a win or a loss, and the coach gets to learn how their player manages many different competitive situations. Please contact us for more information.
