JAVIER MILLAN

BIO

Coach Javier Millan was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico and started playing tennis when he was five years old. He was ranked top 5 nationally in Mexico on the 16s and 18s.  In 2009, he received a full scholarship to attend Scottsdale Community College in Arizona where he played No.1 singles and doubles for the Arthichokes during both years. He was named the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference Player of the year both seasons. In 2011, he received a full scholarship to attend Sacramento State University where he played position No.2 and No.3 in singles and No.1 in doubles. While he was playing for Sacramento State University, the team reached the NCAA tournament both years. He was also named first team All-Big Sky Conference selection. Throughout his college career, Javier helped at TPA Tennis Players Academy in Arizona as well as at Rio del Oro Academy in Sacramento. Javier graduated with a bachelor’s in Economics and a minor in Business Administration.


Javier is very happy to have joined JMG Tennis Academy at Arden Hills and looks forward to helping its tennis athletes achieve their full potential.
